The single significant design revision is the use of 3/4 -inch HDPE probe pipe rather
than a sampling tube within a pipe. We make this change to address concerns and comments
received from Mr. Gino Yetka regarding the possible need to inspect the interior of the probes after
installation. Although the purge time of this single -piece pipe design is much longer than the
previous tube -within -pipe design, this new design provides a pipe without joints. Also, sampling
connections in this new design are consistent with existing wells at that site.
We intend to schedule installation of this well at the end of this month, and will give your
Department ample notice for inspection during construction. If you have any questions, please
contact Joyesh Chandra at (209) 468-3066 or me at (209) 468-8504.
Sincerely,
W.
