11 1 5 <br />This Addendum to the Final Closure Plan of the Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill conforms <br />to the structure of the Final Closure Plan last revised February 1995. <br />This addendum presents the extension of the closure cap on the north eastern side of <br />Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill (CHSL) to properly close uncapped refuse discovered in <br />the area in accordance with Title 27 Section 21090. The addendum addresses the <br />sections in the original closure plan that have been modified due to the closure cap <br />extension project. The addendum adheres to Title 27 Section 21790(b)(1) through (b) 8 <br />and Section 21800 content requirements. <br />""WeIMAt Up <br />CHSL is a closed, unlined Class III landfill located at 31130 South Corral Hollow <br />Road, in southern San Joaquin County, approximately 5 miles south of the City of <br />Tracy, at the intersection of Interstate 580 and Corral Hollow Road (Figure 1). <br />The landfill covers approximately 58 acres, of which 43 acres was permitted <br />disposal area. The remaining area is comprised of access roads, storm water <br />retention ponds, setbacks for environmental monitoring, and firebreaks. Land <br />within 1,000 feet of the facility is used for grazing and agriculture (Figure 2). <br />The landfill was operated in accordance with Solid Waste Facility Permit issued by <br />San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) and the Waste <br />Discharge Requirements order number 94-259 issued by California Regional <br />Water Quality Control Board (CRWQCB). <br />From August 1947 to July 1, 1990, CHSL was owned jointly by the City of Tracy <br />and the County. Per the contract, City of Tracy operated the landfill. Historically, <br />the landfill received solid waste from both the public and contract carriers. The <br />nature of the solid waste was typically domestic refuse, commercial refuse, tires, <br />construction and demolition waste. No hazardous wastes were accepted at the <br />landfill to the knowledge of the County.
