FORWARD LANDFILL EXPANSION <br /> (FORMERLY AUSTIN ROAD LANDFILL EXPANSION) <br /> REPORT OF DISPOSAL SITE INFORMATION (RDSI) MATRIX <br /> RDSI SECTION REG. CITATION RESPONSE REFERENCE <br /> I. FACILITY OVERVIEW <br /> I.A. INTRODUCTION <br /> This Report of Disposal Site Information describes the design and operation of the Forward Landfill Horizontal and Vertical Landfill Expansion (LF-2 and LF-3) <br /> (formerly Austin Road Landfill Expansion)which will be operated under permits issued to Forward, Inc. Day-to-day operation of the site will be conducted <br /> by Forward, Inc.. <br /> The proposed project is located on four complete parcels and a portion of a fifth parcel. Forward, Inc. owns three of the parcels, the existing landfill site (LF-1) <br /> of approximately 138 acres, an existing 45-acre borrow site located in the Phase I and 11 areas, and the 126-acre proposed borrow site to the north of the <br /> existing landfill. 0 <br /> Forward, Inc. also owns two additional properties: an 85-acre parcel currently referred to as the Brocchini property (APN 201-060-02), proposed location <br /> for Phases III and IV; and an 11-acre portion of the California Youth Authority (CYA) parcel located in the northwest corner of the proposed site which will, <br /> be adjacent to the proposed future soil borrow area. <br /> I.B. SITE LOCATION <br /> 14 CCR 18222(d) The Forward Landfill (formerly Austin Road Landfill) is located See Drawing G-2, <br /> at Latitude 371 5294" and Longitude 1210 52' 59" in Section Appendix B <br /> 3, Township 1 South, Range 7 East, M.D.B.&M. The borrow <br /> area, just north of the existing landfill, is in Section 34, <br /> Township 1 North, Range 7 East, M.D.B.&M. The landfill <br /> expansion areas and borrow area will be under the jurisdiction <br /> of San Joaquin County. <br /> I.C. SITE PLAN DESCRIPTION <br /> I.C.1. Surround Land Use Present Land Use: The existing landfill is within the jurisdiction of San Joaquin Drawing G-2, <br /> 14 CCR 18222(f) County and is zoned General Agriculture 40-acre minimum Appendix B <br /> Zoning: 14 CCR 18222(p) (AG-40). All the proposed expansion areas are within San <br /> Joaquin County and are zoned AG-40 (General Agriculture <br /> 40-acre minimum). The land to the north and the land to the <br /> northeast are currently vacant. An unoccupied residence is <br /> located at the southeast corner of the southeast expansion <br /> parcel. The surrounding land uses consist of agriculture, <br /> juvenile/women's prison to the north (Northern California <br /> Youth Authority Center), and the Forward Inc. Landfill located <br /> to the south. DEIR Fig. III.A.1 shows the existing land use for <br /> the area around the project. <br />
