historical data from background surface water stations SW-1 and SW-2, and are
presented in Appendix D. As shown in Table 4,no CLs were exceeded during the second
quarter 2006 monitoring period. Trend analyses indicate that turbidity at surface water
stations SW-1, SW-2, and SW-3 depict statistically significant increasing trends. Given
that turbidity exhibits a statistically significant increasing trend at background surface
water stations SW-1 and SW-2,the increasing trend in turbidity at SW-3 is unlikely to be
indicative of an impact from the facility.
' 6.0 SUMMARY
Currently, the French Camp Landfill is in the process of the final cover construction for
' closure. Groundwater quality conditions beneath the French Camp Landfill during the
second quarter 2006 monitoring period are generally similar to those observed in
previous monitoring periods. Several inorganic CLs were exceeded in DMP wells MW-
8A and MW-9B. However,no statistically significant increasing trends were noted for
constituent concentrations exceeding a CL and no VOCs were detected in DMP
monitoring wells during the current monitoring period.
The results of water quality analyses completed for leachate monitoring wells during the
second quarter 2006 monitoring period indicate that eight VOCs were measured in
leachate monitoring well MW-IA with three measured above the PQL. In addition, one
estimated trace level VOC was detected in leachate monitoring well MW-2.
The results of water quality analyses completed fors ace-water monitoring stations are
generally consistent with previous results. During the second quarter 2006 monitoring
period,no CL exceedances were noted in the samples from stations and with the
exception of turbidity in all three surface-water samples,no statistically significant
increasing trends were noted.
r
t
t
D:\2003_021\FC_sPO6.doc
5 Geologic Associates
