Mr. Joseph Lipka
January 10, 2017
Page 2
• For probes 20 feet deep or less, turn on sample pump, observe and record methane,
oxygen, and carbon dioxide gas concentrations, when readings have stabilized for 30
seconds.
• For probes more than 20 feet deep, turn on sample pump, extract a minimum of one
probe volume, observed and record methane, oxygen, and carbon dioxide gas
concentrations, when readings have stabilized for 30 seconds.
• Close test valve, disconnect sample instruments and secure sample location.
GAS MONITORING WELL TESTING
In accordance with the approved testing schedule, all perimeter monitoring probes are to be tested
at a minimum, on a quarterly basis. On December 28, 2016, all accessible perimeter Gas
Monitoring Probes defined as Nos. GP-01A, GP-02A, GP-03 and GP-04A through GP-08A were
tested for the presence of LFG. Test results (Table 1) indicated that all monitoring probes tested
exhibited methane gas concentrations below the LEL(5 percent by volume) or no methane gas was
detected. These results indicated that the subject site perimeter probes are in compliance with the
requirements of Title 27 CCR Article 6.
SCS is scheduled to perform the first quarter monitoring of 2017(January through March) of the
monitoring probes by the end of the month of March 2016.
STANDARD PROVISIONS
This report addresses conditions at the subject site during the test dates only. Accordingly,we
assume no responsibility for any changes that may occur subsequent to our monitoring which
could affect the quantity of LFG at the subject site or adjacent properties.
Should you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact either of the undersigned.
Very truly yours,
01 v
Whitney M.
