How To Monitor After evacuating one probe volume, connect <br /> the exhaust end of tube of the accessory <br /> pump (AP) to the intake valve of a com- <br /> pletely empty tedlar bag. Sample until <br /> Probes there is a steady reading for LFG concen- <br /> • Check for negative pressure. (See LFG tration on the dial for 30 seconds. <br /> Procedure.) <br /> Note: If the probe is influenced by negative <br /> Notes <br /> pressure, then it should not be sampled <br /> because then the LFG monitor/CGI could be <br /> damaged by overworking the pump. <br /> • Warm up LFG monitor/CGI for 5 minutes. <br /> • Probes less than 20 feet deep—connect <br /> LFG monitor/CGI directly to probe until <br /> there is a steady reading for 30 seconds. <br /> • Probes greater than 20 feet—Evacuate one <br /> probe volume. See LEA Advisory for deter- <br /> mining probe volume and equipment <br /> needed. <br /> 11 12 <br />
