Electrical Conductivity tolerance limits were exceeded in wells MW-1, MW-2, and
MW-3 this quarter, with the highest concentration at the upgradient well. No general water
quality parameters were exceeded in well MW-4 this quarter
At the impacted well (MW-2), an increasing trend for electrical conductivity (EC) is seen this
quarter; however, the EC of this well is less than that of the upgradient well, so this increase is
expected. An increasing trend for Chlorides continues to be reported. Chloride concentration is
well below the recommended secondary maximum contaminant level for drinking water(250
mg/1); therefore, we do not believe this is detrimental to the use of the waters of the state at this
time. We will continue to closely monitor data from this well. Three VOCs were reported in
MW-2 this quarter at concentrations less than 2 ppb. We believe that concentration less than 2
ppb is not a significant impact, and the concentrations of each of these three compounds have
been higher in the past year than in this reporting period indicating moderate success in
corrective action regarding VOC impact. To increase our corrective action, we have directed
that the landfill gas collection in this area be increased, and expect that this will have a positive
effect apparent in the second quarter monitoring.
