CALIFORNIA &IONAL WATER QUALITY CON L BOARD <br />CENTRAL VALLEY REGION <br />11020 Sun Center Drive, #200, Rancho Cordova, California 95670-6114 <br />�a�17TrC�' <br />concerning <br />WASTE _, .REQ!14R_E&EATS--- <br />FOR THE <br />COVE CONTRACTORS LANDFILL, INC. <br />FOR <br />POST-CLOSUREPOST-CLOSURE MAINTENANCE AND MONITORING <br />SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br />Sims Hugo Neu and EI Dorado Property Management (hereafter jointly referred to as <br />"Discharger") are owners of the Cove Contractors Landfill, Inc., located at 3200 and <br />3242 South EI Dorado Street, Stockton, in San Joaquin County. The facility is an <br />unlined landfill on 11.2 acres that was operated until 1988. As a result of Cleanup and <br />Abatement Order No. R5-2006-0707, the Discharger is constructing a final cover for the <br />landfill in compliance with Title 27 final cover requirements. These Waste Discharge <br />Requirements include requirements for the detection monitoring, corrective action <br />monitoring, and post -closure maintenance of the closed landfill. <br />A formal public hearing concerning this matter will be held during the Regional Water <br />Board meeting which is scheduled for: <br />DATE: 21 and 22 June 2007 <br />TIME: 8:30 A.M. <br />PLACE: Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board <br />11020 Sun Center Drive, Suite 200 <br />Rancho Cordova, California 95670 <br />The designated parties for this hearing are as follows: <br />Staff of Central Valley Regional Water Board <br />Sims Hugo Neu and EI Dorado Property Management <br />Only designated parties will have these rights: to call and examine witnesses; to <br />introduce exhibits; to cross-examine opposing witnesses; to impeach any witness; and <br />to rebut the evidence against him or her. All other persons wishing to testify or provide <br />comments are interested persons and not designated parties. Such interested persons <br />may request status as a designated party for purposes of this hearing by submitting <br />such request in writing to the Board no later than 24 May 2007. The request must <br />explain the basis for status as a designated party and in particular how the person is <br />directly affected by the discharge. <br />Persons wishing to comment on this noticed hearing item must submit testimony, <br />evidence, if any, and/or comments in writing to the Regional Water Board no later than <br />24 May 2007.
