Additional material (descriptive
information and a diagram) was submitted on 5 June 2008 via email. Miller Brooks
Environmental prepared the workplan and the additional material on behalf of Cove
Contractors, Inc. (Discharger).
The Discharger proposed to install two new LFG wells (PGP -1A and PGP -2A) on 10-11 July
2008. Currently, the Discharger is regulated under Waste Discharge Requirements Order
No. R5-2007-0084 (WDRs) for post -closure maintenance and monitoring of a landfill. As
required in Attachment C to the WDRs, submittal of a workplan is required for any well
installation.
Based on staffs review of the workplan and additional material submitted via email, the
workplan is complete. However, the Discharger must still receive approval from the California
Integrated Waste Management Board prior to installation of these two LFG wells. Moreover,
the Discharger must submit copies of the county well permits prior to mobilization.
Additionally, the Discharger must submit an LFG monitoring well installation report within 30
days of installation of the new LFG wells. 'Based on the Discharger's proposed schedule,
the installation report is due by 11 August 2008. In the report, the Discharger must include
the information in Section 2 of Attachment C to the WDRs, as applicable to LFG wells. For
your convenience, Attachment C to the WDRs is enclosed.
California Environmental Protection Agency
ca Recycled Paper
