Scott&Sons Company lawn care products.
Over the past several months the LEA has identified operational changes that required the facility's Report of Composting Site
Information to be updated. The operational changes also require the operator to revise the Solid Waste Facility Permit.
The operational changes are an increase in total traffic volume from 25 to 30 vehicles per day and an increase in yard waste
feedstock processing and storage time from three days to seven days. The changes will not affect the maximum permitted
tons per day.
The operator is under a Notice and Order to revise their permit by April 1,2002. The operator did submit a permit
application to the LEA on January 8,2002 and this office received the permit package on January 17,2002.
Violations
No violations of Division 30,Public Resources Code or Title 14,California Code of Regulations,Division 7,Chapter 3.1,
CIWMB Composting Operations Regulatory Requirements were noted during the inspection.
Area of Concern
No areas of concern of Division 30,Public Resources Code or Title 14,California Code of Regulations,Division 7,Chapter
3.1,CIWMB Composting Operations Regulatory Requirements were noted during the inspection.
Supervisor Page 1 of 2 _Inspector
