OPERATIONAL STATEMENT
Page
The raw materials will be collected and brought to the site by means of trucks of
various sizes up to 60 foot trailer combinations. The make up of raw materials will
consist of but not limited to 1) waste wood in various forms such as pallets,
construction wood, crates, fencing, 2) greenwaste such as brush, shrubs, lawn and
yard clippings and trees in various forms including stumps and logs. There is also
opportunities to handle bark from different trees for landscape uses.
Most of the processing will occur inside the buildings however there may be some
incidental or specialty handling which may need to occur outside because of the size
and nature of materials being handled such as logs or stumps. This we would
propose to accomplish behind appropriate screening which would be provided by
planting shrubbery or trees.
Additionally one of Weaver's specialties is the growing and transplanting of
specimen trees. We can use a large portion of vacant area in front of the two main
buildings to plant nursery stock which will provide an attractive buffer.
The marketing of our products will be conducted on a wholesale basis. Most
products will be sold in bulk form, howeverwe will look at some bagging and
packaging for some of our markets. This would however, be a small percentage of the
total operation. Most of the outgoing products will be shipped via trucking however we
do have rail capability and may use this to our advantage.
First, we will accept no hazardous materials. There will be small amounts of
incidental trash in our incoming loads and this will be sorted and placed in containers
and disposed of at approved landfills.
A water system is.--urrently in place at the site, however the condition is uncertain.
We will however meet the needs and concerns of the local fire department.
Additionally the storage will be controlled in neat orderly stockpiles with adequate
aisles and pile limitations.
Dust will be mitigated with the current water system or by water truck. Odor and
vector control has not been a problem at our other facilities however we will institute
and plan for correction should something develop. It has been our experience that
proper control of stockpiling will prevent problems from developing.
