SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT
1810 E. HAZELTON AVE., STOCKTON, -A 95205-6232
CQ iFU Reay PHONE: 209/468-3121 Fax: 2091468-3163
July 21, 1995
MEMORANDUM
TO: Development Committee
FROM: Chandler Martin, Associate Planner
SUBJECT: Use Permit Application No. UP -95-8 of Harold Rouse (c/o
Weaver Industries, Inc.)
The project is to establish a multi-purpose operation for recycling
of wood and green waste products, worm farming and the growing of
wholesale specimen nursery stock. This site is located on the
north side of Louise Ave., 1470 feet west of Airport Way, north of
Manteca.
The Community Development Department has reviewed this item and
offers the following comments:
Before this item can be heard by the Planning Commission! the Plan
shall be revised as follows:
1. Show specific outdoor storage areas:
a. Show what will be stored in those areas (e.g. soil
amendment, biomass fuel, mulch, animal bedding, wood
chips, sand)
b. Indicate the nature of the storage area. (e.g. bins,
concrete slabs, compacted soil, tarps, windrows)
C. Show how those areas will be screened. If plants are
used for screening, show type of plant and spacing (i.e.
5 -gal. privet, 41 o.c.).
2. Show where each proposed use will occur. Be as specific as
possible as to the type of use (e.g. receiving, waste removal,
cutting, grinding, shredding, conveying, sorting, storage,
packaging, loading, office, breakroom).
3. Show the use for each building. (Buildings b, c, and g are
not identified as to use. Where will the vermiculture occur?)
