Compost produced in the facility designated above is in compliance with the pathogen reduction standards, using <br />the following procedure(s): <br />a. (x3j Windrow composting process. The temperature of all active compost was maintained under aerobic con- <br />ditions, and for at least 15 consecutive days within the composting period, a minimum stabilized tempera- <br />ture of not less than 55 degrees Celsius was maintained throughout the mixture, during which the wind- <br />rows were tamed a minimum of 5 times. <br />b. ( ) Aerated static pile composting process. All active compost was covered with 6 to 12 inches of insulating <br />material, and the active compost was maintained throughout the mixture at a stabilized temperature of <br />55 degrees Celsius or greater for 3 consecutive days. <br />c. ( ) In—vessel composting process.
