On-site lighting will be directed down onto areas of the site intended to be illuminated and <br /> away from adjacent properties. Footcandle of lighting will not exceed that required to <br /> provide safety and security. <br /> PROPOSED MONITORING PROGRAM: <br /> - The exterior building finishes will be of the type and color necessary to minimize <br /> glare. The monitoring of this mitigation will be included in the construction <br /> inspection of the project. This issue will be addressed in the final construction report <br /> of the expansion project. <br /> - The proper direction of the lighting system will be included in the inspection program <br /> for the periodic inspections by the regulating agencies. <br /> - The lighting power installed on the site will be included in the Construction Inspection <br /> to ensure the lighting specifications conform to the design plans for the site. <br /> ------------------------------------------------------------ <br /> —------------------------------------------------- <br /> -------- <br /> IMPACT: <br /> ------I ACT: Incoming Hazardous Waste <br /> MITIGATION: <br /> The California Waste Management Board requires that a hazardous waste screening program <br /> be described in the Report of Station Information (RSI). The screening program consists of <br /> the following activities: <br /> * Inspection of random incoming loads. <br /> * Regular visual inspection of the wastes brought to the facility. <br /> * <br /> Training of facility personnel in hazardous waste recognition and proper <br /> hazardous waste handling procedures. <br /> * Reporting incidents of unlawful disposal of hazardous wastes to the regulating <br /> agencies. <br /> * Installation of signs at the facilityentrance which clean indicates that <br /> Y <br /> hazardous wastes are not accepted at the site. <br /> The program for implementing these requirements at the California Waste Removal Systems, <br /> Inc., Transfer Station and Recycle Center is contained in Appendix C. <br /> PROPOSED MONITORING PROGRAM: <br /> Erect an entrance gate sign stating prohibition of hazardous waste disposal at the <br /> transfer station. This sign should be in both the English and Spanish languages. <br /> Implement the Load Checking Program. <br /> - Training of facility personnel in hazardous waste recognition and hazardous waste <br /> handling <br />
