Provide thorough screening of hazardous wastes in waste piles. <br />T14 CCR 17408.6 - Maintenance - Area in front of transfer station building has worn and cracked asphalt and <br />potholes. <br />a. Per conversation with operator on May 3, 2006, submittal of repair time schedule is pending bidding process. <br />Description shall include of any changes of the operation with a site plan to include location of tipping area, traffic <br />patterns. <br />New netting for recycling area has been has been installed (previous AC cleared). <br />Previously wind blown bags have been removed (AC cleared). <br />Observed accumulation of recyclables along interior wall (behind yellow barrier) at entrance door of MRF (at north <br />side). Remove accumulated recyclables. <br />Door on portable toilet is detached from the hinges. Repair door. <br />A. U -waste screening program currently in place. Observed site personnel remove radio and air conditioning unit from <br />waste piles at time of site visit. Per conversation with operator on May 8, 2006, submittal of information regarding <br />current u -waste screening operation is pending. <br />B. A meeting was held with Central Valley Waste Services on April 4, 2006 regarding proposed permanent u -waste <br />dismantling operation on-site. It is understood that a draft description of this operation will be submitted to the EHD <br />for review (prior to submitting a formal RFI amendment application package). This proposal shall be evaluated for. <br />a significant change determination. Per conversation with operator on May 8, 2006, submittal of this information is <br />pending. <br />C. High waste volume observed at public side tipping area next to transfer building. Operator indicated that <br />accumulation is due to the City of Stockton clean up event on May 6, 2006. To reduce waste pile, 7 outbound trucks <br />are on schedule to remove 27 loads today. Be sure to remove all waste piles with -in a 48 hour time period. Waste <br />pile (commercial side) was moderate to low at time of inspection. <br />D. Rodent bait stations are being maintained. <br />E.
