In addition,the first paragraph under'Proposed as Part of the Project"on that page,as well as the paragraph extending from the bottom of page 129 onto the top of p.130,and the first paragraph under"E.Public Health and Safety" on p.7 of Appz-zdix G, Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program" in the FEIR are all corrEc-ted for clarity to read as follows: Use a total of 17 pieces of equipment(at an^y given time)over the life er the project to minimize particulate discharge. As sho-urn in Table IV.E-1, (FEIR,p 129), the risk frclm particulate-and specifically diesel fitmes-mill be lessened for the project versus the baseline conditions. The existing 28 piecesdiesel powered landfill oFerating equipment mull be changed out even]5 years at Forrard and even]10 years at Au:-fin,mud-mould be reduced to a total of 17 pieces of equipmei t over a 1-5-year or fencer. In addition,the last paragraph on page 128 is corrected to read as follow.s: T1w risks are considered to be reduced in the proposed project compared to the baselinre permit conditions because:l)A lesser amount of particulate-generating equipment used per ton disposed of 2)Waste will be moved oraer a shorter period of tures (14 versus 30 in years)and daily hours of equipment operation will be only slightly increased rather flue proportionally increased(10.5 versus 9.0 hours per day),and;3)the risk protocols evaluates exposure over a 30 year timefrrnnoe and the project tuould only result in diesel emissions for 14 years while the continued torn-level operations of Austin Road landfill under existing permits mould occur for the entire 30-year exposure period. The FEIR inadvertently had 30-year lifetimes for both•the proposed project and existing Austin Road landfill. The proposed project wroald have a 14-year operational lifespan. The minutes of the San Joaquin County Planning Commission's October 3,2002 Hearing on the Draft Environmental Impact Report(EIR)for the Consolidated Forward Landfill Project were inadvertently omitted from Section DC,Comments and Responses,of the - Final Environmental Impact Report Those minutes are attached and incorporated by reference into the Final EIR as Item A(1)followving page 236 of the Final EIR. Because no environmental issues or questions are raised in the Commissioners' comments,no response is required.
