}
SAFE PRACTICES AND OPERATIONS CODE
POLICY
It is the policy of Delta Paper Stock Corporation that
everything possible will be done to protect our employees from
accidents, injuries, and occupational disease while on the job.
Safety is a cooperative undertaking requiring an ever present
safety consciousness on the part of every employee.
If an employee is injured, positive and prompt action must be
taken to see that the employee received adequate treatment.
No one likes to see a fellow employee injured through an
accident. Therefore, all operations must be planned to prevent
accidents.
To carry out this policy the following will apply:
1. All employees shall follow these safe practices rules,
render every possible aid to safe operations, and report
all unsafe conditions or practices to the proper
authority.
2. Manager shall insist on employees observing and obeying
every rule, regulation, and order as is necessary to the
safe conduct of the work, and shall take such action as
is necessary to obtain observance.
3. Good housekeeping must be practiced at all times on the
jobsite.
4. Suitable clothing and footwear will be worn at all times.
Personal protection equipment will be worn where needed.
5. All employees will participate in a safety meeting
conducted by their Manager at least every 10 working
days.
6. Anyone known to be under the influence of intoxicating
liquor or drugs shall not be allowed on the job while in
that condition.
7. No drinking of liquor or taking of illegal substances on
the job.
8. Horseplay, scuffling, and other acts which tend to have
an adverse influence on the safety or well-being of the
employees are prohibited.
