D RES S R T GHT Loose or torn clothing, jewelry, long <br />hair, improper shoes and some types of fabrics can be <br />dangerous in certain situations. Find out what the proper <br />work dress is before you show up on the job. <br />4. FOLLOW ALL SAFETY RULE S These rules <br />are part of your job. You are paid to follow them. <br />5 . KNOW THE GUARD T NG RE QU T RE D Unguarded <br />machinery and equipment is dangerous to take chances with. <br />6. L T F W C O R RE C TLY Back injuries can be painful, <br />costly, and cause permanent disability. <br />7. KNOW ABOUT TOX T C MATE R T AL S Request <br />"Material Safety Data Sheets" from your supervisor on any <br />toxic materials you are exposed to. Read the labels for all <br />products you use. <br />8. USE PERSONAL 7PIR, OTECTTON Always use <br />appropriate protection for eyes, lungs, head, skin, hearing, <br />etc. <br />9. K E E P Y OU R ARE A C L E AN Prevent slips, <br />trips, falls and fires. <br />10. U S E TH E R T C3 1-1':C TO OL S Never use defective <br />tools or equipment. <br />11. KNOW EMERGENCY PROCEDURES Know what <br />to do before an emergency occurs. <br />12. REPORT ALL T NJUR = E S - Immediately report all <br />work related injuries to your supervisor. Only work related <br />injuries are covered by "Workers' Compensation". If the <br />injury or illness did not occur as a result of the job it is <br />not covered by workers' compensation. <br />13. WORK S AF ELY When you have an accident, everyone <br />loses; you, yourself, your family, your fellow workers and the <br />company. <br />
