9. Employee training is provided initially to all employees and for all new employees. This <br />training covers the following areas: <br />a. - The basic requirements of the Hazard Communication Standard and their right to <br />information on chemical hazards. <br />b. Our company's program to comply with the standard, and procedures to follow to see the <br />standard, company program and MSDSs. <br />c. How to interpret and use the labels on containers of hazardous materials. <br />d. The potential physical hazards and health effects of the hazardous substances and how <br />to use MSDSs for more information. <br />e. How to handle the hazardous substances safely and other protective measures in place. <br />f. What to do in an emergency, release or over-exposure to the chemicals. <br />g. How the presence of hazardous chemicals can be detected in the work area. <br />10. This training is documented in the following manner: Sign -in sheet recording <br />each employee's attendance and the training topics covered. <br />Records are maintained at the following location: with Bill S a 1 eh , Safety <br />Program Administrator and Evelyn Trevino, Personnel. <br />11. Training concerning new hazards (new chemicals or new information on MSDSs) will be <br />provided within 30 days and documented. <br />12. Periodic refresher training will be provided and documented as follows: Supervisors <br />will conduct monthly safety meetings. At each safety <br />meeting, any new hazards or chemical will be covered. <br />Supervisors will us6 sign-up sheets to record attendance, <br />sublect of training and new hazards. Sheet will be given <br />13. Cru'isidrd'6mpi6yees (suBdi:nr"ra`ciors and visitors) will be advised of chemical hazards in our <br />plant in the following manner: <br />N/A - No outside employees, visitors not allowed in area. <br />Contractors will be required to provide information on any chemicals used in our facility as a <br />condition of their contract. <br />Our company relies on the information contained in MSDSs as permitted by the OSHA Hazard <br />Communication Standard and does not perform independent hazard determinations.
