�INUINCS: <br /> 1 . This existing facility is a Large Volume Transfer Station <br /> open to commercial and public vehicles . The site consists <br /> of a large metal building surrounded by a fenced concrete <br /> paved lot, situated on 3/4 acre parcel . The material is <br /> clumped on the concrete pavement where the cans , metals, <br /> plastic, paper, wood , and cardboard is sorted . The <br /> plastics , newspaper , and cardboard are pushed to the baler <br /> for processing. Cans, metals , rock , rubble, and other <br /> recyclable materials are stored on site and shipped to <br /> market on a regular basis . Any material which can not be <br /> recycled is hauled to approved landfills . Only Group III <br /> wastes are accepted at this facility. <br /> Hazardous wastes are not accepted at the site, The �,g iron <br /> has a permitted daily ca acity of up to 250 tons per day of <br /> unsorted refuse . This is based on a design capacity of 1000 <br /> cubic yards per day at an average density of 500 lbs per <br /> cubic yard, and the ability of the loader to handle up to 18 <br /> tons per hour of incoming material . The transfer station is <br /> open to the public from 7 : 00 A.M. to 4 : 00 P.M. , seven days <br /> per week . Additional information concerning the facility 's <br /> design and operation is included in the Report of Station <br /> Information dated Marchi 16 , 1989 , for a large volume <br /> transfer station . <br /> 2 . Type of waste received at this facility include: <br /> a . Commercial solid waste <br /> b. Construction/demolition waste <br /> c. Tires <br /> 3 . No significant changes in design or operation from the <br /> Report of Station Information dated March 16 , 1989 , have <br /> occurred at the Independent Trucking Company, Inc. Transfer <br /> and Recycle Station. Furthermore, no significant changes in <br /> design or operation are anticipated in the next five years . <br /> 4 . Land within 1 , 000 feet of the transfer station <br /> Heavy Industrial . <br /> 5 . The following documents condition operations of this <br /> facility: <br /> a. No; use permits were issued on this operation. <br /> Operation has been in existence since 1948 . <br /> b. Report of Station Information dated March 16 , 1989 . <br /> c. Fire Department permit No . 10514 issued May 14 , 1985 by <br /> the City of Stockton. The City of Stockton Fire <br /> Department inspection on April 4 , 1989 found <br /> Independent Trucking in compliance. <br />
