Standard operating procedure is that the waste material is <br /> dumped on the concrete pavement where cans, metals, plastic , <br /> paper , wood , and other recyclables are sorted . The <br /> plastics, newspaper , and cardboard are pushed to the baler <br /> for processing . Cans, metals, rock and rubble, and other <br /> recyclables are stored on site and shipped to market on a <br /> regular basis. Any material which can not be recycled is <br /> hauled to a landfill . <br /> G. Batteries and used oil are not accepted at the site. If <br /> encountered these waste products are to be returned to the <br /> customer or shipped to a licensed recycler . <br /> H. Hazardous waste screening program. Independent Trucking <br /> Company, Inc . has implemanted a hazardous waste load <br /> checking program. All harardous wastes are prohibited at <br /> the station . <br /> Every refuse load is inspected because every refuse load is <br /> separated for recycling purposes. All employees are trained <br /> through the station ' s safety program which includes the <br /> hazardous waste load checking program. Employees also <br /> attend the "Basic Hazardous Waste Awareness Course" given by <br /> the San Joaquin County Office of Emergency Services. <br /> At the entrance of the station a sign is posted prohibiting <br /> the dispoal of hazardous waste at this facility . If <br /> hazardous wastes are encountered then the waste materials <br /> will be directed to an appropriate disposal site. <br /> Additional measures may be reguired upon the request of <br /> Local Enforcement Agency (LEA) and the Board . <br /> I . Anticipated changes in the next five years are expanding the <br /> storage area of the station into the non-permitted area. <br /> This area will be paved and a storm drainage, system | e <br /> ^ ~ ^^- � <br /> installed . Hours of Operation : <br /> 6:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M. - Daily <br /> Occasionally station operations will be open After 6:00 P .M. <br /> due to equipment breakdown and maintenance. Occasional late <br /> delivery of materials will be accepted . <br /> 2. The following list of agencies and documents that condition <br /> the operation and use of the facility. <br /> a. Report of Station Information date March, 1989 . <br /> b. Fire department permit No. 10514 issued by the City of <br /> Stockton dated May 14, 1985. <br /> —~ <br />
