l
CHAPTER 20.0
EFFECTS
FOUND NOT TO BE SIGNIFICANT
The Initial Study prepared for the proposed project identified several effects which did
not require environmental analysis due to their minor nature. These included:
Changes in the geologic substructure -because the project would not require
excavation into the substructure.
Changes in stream courses or river channels -because no streams or rivers are
involved in the project.
Regional changes in climate -because the project will not produce any emissions
that would alter the climactic conditions in the area.
Reduction in the amount of water available for public use -because water usage
will increase only slightly over the existing usage.
Exposure of people to flooding-because the project site is not in an area subject
to flooding.
Depletion of nonrenewal natural resources -because the project does not involve
mining or timber harvesting.
Cause any effects on human population -because the project does not involve
housing or relocation activities.
Cause any effects on housing -because the project does not involve residential
development.
Use of substantial amounts of energy -because use of electricity and gas will be
for lighting and heating only.
Cause an effect on recreational opportunities -because the project site is not
involved with providing recreation.
20-1
