Exhibit B
7. Air Ouality
The project need to be evaluated in terms of compliance with San Joaquin Valley
Unified Air Pollution Control District requirements. Areas of concern are vehicle
emissions, particulate matter, and odors. Refuse gas releases may also require
evaluation.
8. Noise
Noise concerns include operational noise from the transfer station and its effects
on adjacent residential uses. Employee/customer exposure to noise may also be
a problem. Vehicle noise (especially trucks) needs to evaluated for travel routes
and on site conditions. Noise contours should be developed to predict project
noise levels,both current and future.
9. Biotics
A limited biotics survey should be conducted to characterize the plant and
animal life in the project vicinity, and to insure that no special status species are
present.
10. Cultural Resources
A limited cultural resource survey should be conducted to determine the actual
or potential presence of cultural resources.
11. Light and Glare
The project should be evaluated for exterior lighting, including glare on
surro ing property.
12. Visual Ouality
The project should be evaluated for its visual impact on adjacent property as well
as those driving past the facility.
13. Hazardous Materials
Some evaluation should be given to assessing release of hazardous substances or
materials.
14. Project Alternatives
Other potential project sites should be identified and evaluated for their
respective advantages and disadvantages over the proposed project site.
15. Mitigation Measures
For potential significant environmental impacts identified in the 14 categories
above, specific mitigation measure should be developed.
C-17
