Duties <br /> The Emergency Site Coordinator (ESC): <br /> • Approves the Worksite Emergency Plan (WEP) <br /> • Designates the Assistant Emergency Site Coordinator <br /> • Evaluates work performed by the Assistant Emergency Officer. <br /> • In case of a major emergency, directs emergency response and contacts <br /> other Department of Public Works Emergency <br /> The Assistant Emergency Site Coordinator (AESC), in assistance to the <br /> Emergency Site coordinator: <br /> • Performs the Coordinator's duties in his absence <br /> • Updates the WEP as necessary <br /> • Assures employee safety by conducting safety Meetings at least once <br /> every ten working days <br /> • Maintains safety records, including worksite inspections <br /> • Inspects for safety hazards <br /> • Is familiar with location of all fire extinguishers and building exit doors <br /> • Trains employees to follow the WEP <br /> • Investigates all safety complaints and reports the findings to the ESC. <br /> • Inspect fire extinguishers once every three months, and sign and date Fire <br /> Extinguisher Inspection Form (Attachment A). <br /> • Maintains a log with emergency telephone numbers <br /> • Inspect First Aid Kits once a month to assure that Kits are complete, and <br /> sign and date the Inspection Form (Attachment B). <br /> • Report all emergency incidents to the Emergency Site Coordinator <br /> immediately. <br /> • Inspects office and storage areas (Attachment C) <br /> In case of an emergency evacuation, the AESC shall report the emergency to the <br /> Emergency Site Coordinator and: <br /> • Assist in the evacuation the facility. <br /> • Verify the presence of staff at the assembly area <br /> • Account for all parties not in the assembly area. <br /> Lovelace Transfer Station Solid Waste Division <br /> Worksite Emergency Plan 2 Public Works Department <br /> April 10,2015 San Joaquin County <br />
