SIGNS <br />Signs are posted at the entrance of the transfer station to identify_ prohibited waste. <br />Examples of such materials are given in non-technical language lExhibit 3). <br />B. TRAINING OF OTHER SITE PERSONNEL <br />In addition to observations by assigned load checkers (spotters), site supervisors, gate <br />cashiers, and equipment operators are trained to detect prohibited wastes. <br />Training, for site personnel includes briefings on the load checking program, and will also <br />include attendance at a "nasie Hazardous Waste ^ s Coufse" Household <br />Hazardous Waste Identification/Load Checkingtraining aining course given by qualified <br />wed personnel. This course includes information on Basic Personal Safety, <br />Identification, Placarding, Agency Involvement, Cleanup of Hazardous Waste, and <br />Load Checking for prohibited materials. Also, personal protection equipment is provided <br />to personnel at the site. <br />In addition, each supervisor attends an annual eight (8) hours HAZWOP refresher course. <br />The household hazardous waste contractor (presently Clean Harbors) will, on an as <br />needed basis, provide training to Ehe-Aoer supervisors responsible for responding to <br />hazardous waste incidents on the tipping floor. <br />H, <br />pril 2010 San Joaquin County, <br />
