The results of the modeling effort are shown
in Table III.D-8. For the modeling effort,a.m. peak-hour traffic volumes were used.
As seen in Table IIID-8, the project alone would increase noise levels by less than three dBA
along each of the roadway segments with the exception of Navy Drive, west of Pershing Avenue.
Residences along this segment of Navy Drive would be exposed to a.m. peak-hour increases in
noise levels of roughly 3.9 Leq. However, this increase would occur only during the a.m. peak-
hour and would not be expected to cause the overall DNL at those residences to increase by 1.5 or
more DNL. Furthermore,project-generated traffic in combination with cumulative traffic would
cause increases from existing conditions of less than 3 dBA during the a.m. peak-hour for each of
the modeled roadway segments. For these reasons, project traffic would have a less than
significant impact on roadside noise levels.
Mitigation Measures Proposed as Part of the Project
None.
Mitigation Measures Identified in This Report
None required.
Storkton Scat, enger Transfer Station Expansion III.D.19 ESA 1990190
