for conducting regularly scheduled safety meeting and monitoring safety procedures throughout <br /> the facility. <br /> The Safety Manual and Safety Training Program established prior to operation will include, but <br /> not necessary be limited to the following: <br /> • First aid instruction for all personnel. <br /> • Proper signage of safety hazards and safety bulletins. <br /> • Adherence to OSHA standards and procedures. <br /> • A thorough program for personnel on the types, identification procedures and handling <br /> methods for all suspicious and/or unacceptable wastes delivered to the facility. <br /> ® Regularly scheduled safety meetings. <br /> A spotter will be located at the unloading area during operating hours. The spotters will assist <br /> the drivers of vehicles in backing into the unloading area and observe for general safety hazards <br /> and the illegal dumping of non-acceptable material (i.e. hazardous waste). <br /> G. SAFETY EQUEPMENT <br /> The facility operator will provide safety equipment, such as safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves, <br /> coveralls, hard hats, and hearing protection reducers per state and federal safety agencies and <br /> the County Health Department. Emergency shower and eye stations are located at the <br /> MRF/Transfer Station, the Office/Maintenance Building and the Compost Facility. <br /> Safety glasses, gloves and hard hats will be required to be worn for all personnel operating <br /> equipment or working with solid waste, yard and wood waste. <br /> H. POWM FAILURE <br /> Emergency diesel generators will be provided on-site in the event of a power failure for lighting <br /> and power to the fire pump system.
