Phase 1 to increase the daily waste capacity from 1,000 tons per day(TPD)to 1,800 TPD within ten years. Phase 1 site Improvements will include the addition of 19,200 square feet to the existing 57,200 square foot material recovery facility and transfer station building; the addition of 10,500 square feet to the existing maintenance and administration building; construction of a one mega-watt wood waste bio-mass gasification unit; construction of a 5,000 square foot covered storage area and loading dock; Phase 2 to increase the daily waste capacity from 1,800 TPD to 2,500 TPD within twenty years. The project will employ 160 persons and operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.All outdoor processing activities will not begin before am and will not operate after 10:00 pm. On site activities will include vehicle maintenance, equipment storage and truck parking, processing of construction and demolition debris, processing wood waste grindings, appliance recycling and associated waste handling activities. The project is located on the west side of South MacArthur Drive, 1.1 miles south of Urine Road, Tracy (Supervisorial District 5). LEAD AGENCY: San Joaquin County Community Development Department. Findings were adopted pursuant to the provisions of CEOA. 4. A Statement of overriding Considerations was not adopted for this project. 5.
