Phase 1 to <br /> increase the daily waste capacity from 1,000 tons per day(TPD)to 1,800 TPD within ten years. Phase 1 <br /> site Improvements will include the addition of 19,200 square feet to the existing 57,200 square foot <br /> material recovery facility and transfer station building; the addition of 10,500 square feet to the existing <br /> maintenance and administration building; construction of a one mega-watt wood waste bio-mass <br /> gasification unit; construction of a 5,000 square foot covered storage area and loading dock; Phase 2 to <br /> increase the daily waste capacity from 1,800 TPD to 2,500 TPD within twenty years. The project will <br /> employ 160 persons and operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.All outdoor processing activities will not <br /> begin before am and will not operate after 10:00 pm. On site activities will include vehicle <br /> maintenance, equipment storage and truck parking, processing of construction and demolition debris, <br /> processing wood waste grindings, appliance recycling and associated waste handling activities. The <br /> project is located on the west side of South MacArthur Drive, 1.1 miles south of Urine Road, Tracy <br /> (Supervisorial District 5). <br /> LEAD AGENCY: San Joaquin County Community Development Department.
