Construction & Demolition/Inert Debris Facility Report <br />Tracy Material Recovery and Transfer Facility <br />30703 S. MacArthur Drive, Tracy, California 95377 <br />timely manner. Tracy MRF & TS maintains an onsite vehicle and equipment <br />repair shop for regular maintenance and emergency repairs of equipment and <br />vehicles. Additionally, Tracy MRF & TS maintains good relationships with local <br />heavy equipment vendors. These vendors have technicians and parts available <br />at their service centers and provide leasing of replacement equipment if repairs <br />cannot be made in a timely manner. <br />Personnel Health and Safety [14 CCR 17408.7] <br />Safety equipment is available and accessible to all site personnel and customers. <br />Eye washes and first-aid kits are located in the MRF/TS building and <br />maintenance/office building for quick treatment. Workers are equipped with <br />appropriate safety clothing, including gloves, hard hats, ear protection, and <br />goggles. Where appropriate, additional specialty clothing is provided, such as <br />international orange vests or aprons for sorters. <br />The facility maintains an Illness and Injury Prevention Plan, which is included in <br />Appendix H. <br />Protection of Users [14 CCR 17408.8] <br />Debris transfer truck and collection truck drivers will be regulars who are trained <br />and familiar with the site. A 6 -foot high, slatted chain link fence with two gates <br />that is locked, when it is not in use, surrounds the facility. The general public will <br />have limited access to the facility's Inert Operations Area and C&D Operations <br />Area for delivery of self -haul loads. Appropriate, visible signage, traffic cones, <br />and instruction by the site attendant will direct vehicles to the Inert Operations <br />Area or C&D Operations Area tipping pads, as appropriate. <br />Pile heights are limited to 25 feet for inerts and 20 feet for C&D debris to more <br />readily manage materials, and facilitate safe handling of materials with onsite <br />equipment and minimize risk to public, drivers and onsite personnel. Site <br />personnel will monitor and maintain pile construction to prevent potential hazards <br />due to unstable or poorly configured piles. <br />Roads [14 CCR 17409.1] <br />The roads are located on paved asphalt concrete or concrete pad and are <br />accessible year round and for all types of weather. A daily site walk by facility <br />personnel focuses on ensuring that the entry and driveway are free of debris and <br />a clean appearance maintained. <br />Sanitary Facilities [14 CCR 17409.2] <br />Employee restroom facilities are available in the MRF/TS building and the <br />Maintenance/Office building.
