Load Checking Program <br /> Tracy Material Recovery&Transfer Facility <br /> 30703 S. MacArthur Drive,Tracy, CA 95377 <br /> 2.2.2.1. Universal Waste Handling <br /> Universal wastes are not accepted at the Facility. All universal waste <br /> accumulated by the facility will be stored and managed in accordance with <br /> Title 22 section 66273.83 Standards for Universal waste management. <br /> 2.2.3. Treated Wood Waste <br /> Treated wood waste (TWW) is defined in Health and Safety Code 25150.7 and is wood <br /> which is treated with a Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) <br /> approved chemical preservative (7 U.S.C. Sec. 136 and following), which is a <br /> hazardous waste. <br /> 2.2.3.1.Treated Wood Waste Handling <br /> Treated wood waste is not accepted. However TWW that has been <br /> commingled with other loads of material is removed. Tracy safely removes <br /> TWW from the C&D waste stream and stores accumulated TWW in a 40-yard <br /> roll-off container until a full load is reached. When a full load is accumulated, <br /> a bill of lading is completed and the load is sent to Forward Inc. or another <br /> permitted landfill capable of accepting TWW. <br /> 2.2.4. Treated Medical Waste <br /> Medical waste is not accepted at the Facility. Treated medical waste is defined in the <br /> qW Medical Waste Management Act, California Health and Safety Code Section 117695. <br /> Medical waste that has been treated in accordance with Chapter 8 (commencing with <br /> Section 118215 of the Medical Waste Management Act) and that is not otherwise <br /> hazardous shall thereafter be considered solid waste as defined in Section 40191 of the <br /> Public Resources Code. <br /> Before treated medical waste can be accepted at the Facility, it must be treated by <br /> autoclaving or incineration authorized by the local agency or an alternative treatment <br /> technology approved by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). Large <br /> quantity medical waste generators who treat medical waste onsite must be registered <br /> with San Joaquin County Environmental Health Services if the final disposal destination <br /> is within San Joaquin County. <br /> 2.2.4.1. Sharp Waste <br /> Sharp wastes are not accepted at the Facility. Sharp waste is defined in <br /> Medical Waste Management Act California Health and Safety Code Section <br /> 117755. <br /> 2.3. Prohibited Waste <br /> The Facility is prohibited from accepting: <br /> 2.3.1. Hazardous Waste <br /> Waste that shows any of the following characteristics (unless excluded by law): <br /> 3 <br />
