SUMMARY <br /> TOTAL LAYERS AT THE SITE 315,504 <br /> House 1 —63,180 Layers which produce 11.32 yd of manure per day. <br /> House 2—63,180 Layers which produce 11.32 yd of manure per day <br /> House 3—83,520 Layers which produce 15.03 yd of manure per day. <br /> House 4—83,520 Layers which produce 15.03 yd of manure per day. <br /> Brooder house holds 150,000 baby chicks which produces an average of 5 yd of manure <br /> per day. The brooder is only in operation 17 weeks prior to replacing the laying hens <br /> (not all year long like the laying houses). <br /> TOTAL MANURE PRODUCED AT THE SITE WHEN ALL HOUSES ARE IN <br /> OPERATION IS 52.7 YD PER DAY.AT THIS TIME THE MANURE WILL STAY <br /> THE SAME UNTIL 2015 WHEN PRODUCTION REDUCES THEN NUMBERS WILL <br /> CHANGE. <br /> COMPOST <br /> Each pit handles 36 yd per day of manure and shavings, rice hulls and/or grape pumice. <br /> Currently there are 4 pits in operation, utilizing approximately 21 yd per day of manure <br /> produced on-site. <br /> 36 yd of manure and shavings, rice hulls,and/or grape pumice yields approximately 25 <br /> yd of finished compost. <br /> 9 yd of wet/fresh manure weighs approximately 5.77 tons,if dry reduce the amount by <br /> approximately 20%. <br /> 13 <br />
