April 10, 2007
Olivera Egg Ranch
Edward F. Olivers
P.O. Box 32126
San Jose, CA 95152
A re -inspection was conducted this date. The following was noted. The previous issues have been
resolved. The requirement for a revised Manure Management Plan has been extended.
Operational:
The facility is currently dry padding manure in the smaller pond that was pumped dry.
The manure in the pond is now saturated with rainwater and cannot be removed until it is
dry enough to remove it. The approved Manure Management Plan (MMP) for the facility
does not include dry padding as a method to handle the manure onsite. Amend the MMP
to include this activity or discontinue to dry pad the manure. If the MMP is amended to
include dry padding please explain how the manure will be handled to prevent moisture
from coming in contact with the manure. Amend the MMP or discontinue and remove all
dry manure by April 20, 2007
Environmental Health Department ?acility tepresentative
