Olivera Foods <br /> 11/13/2013 <br /> Routine Inspection <br /> Continuation Sheet <br /> 1. During the inspection the primary lagoon was being excavated to remove manure <br /> sludge. There was a loader and two trucks removing sludge from the north side of <br /> the lagoon and an excavator tractor/scraper working on the south side of the <br /> lagoon. The operation on the north side was removing the sludge from the site. <br /> The tractor/scraper was removing the sludge from the lagoon and stockpiling it <br /> onsite for removal at a later date. <br /> 2. The site operator has installed a plate drier between house 3 and 4. The plate drier <br /> takes the manure from house 1 through 5. <br /> 3. There was liquid in the secondary lagoon. The liquid was in the lowest point of <br /> the lagoon. The volume of the liquid was small relative to the size of the lagoon. <br /> The site operator indicated that the liquid was from an over flow of the cooling <br /> system from houses on the south side of the property. The site operator indicated <br /> that he had holes excavated in the bottom of the lagoon to disperse the liquid. <br /> 4. The site did not have feed spillage under or near the feed silos. <br /> 5. The site did have bait stations that were stocked with bait. <br /> 6. The fly population was light. There were very few adult flies.No evidence of fly <br /> breeding was found. <br /> 7. The dry padding area had approximately 7windrows of manure. The windrows <br /> were being turned at the time of the visit. The odors were strong in the dry <br /> padding area. Off site odors were not evaluated during this inspection. <br /> 8. The daily mortality is being incinerated. The site operator indicated that he had a <br /> new incinerator installed recently and that APCD permitted the installation. <br /> 9.
