A. Except as provided in Section 6-B herein, all organic wastes, animal and bird manure, or food processing waste, shall be removed at least..once every seven (7) days, utilizing one or more of the following methods.- (1) ethods:(1) Removal from the premises and disposal by burial in an approved sanitary land fill. (Section 147). (a) Removal from the premises and disposal by thin spreading- • upon land areas as fertilizer, in such manner as to avoid creation of a nuisance. (3) Removal to'orchard or other specialized farming land ) and discing into the soil on the same day as deposited. (4) Composting in such manner as to avoid odor and fly or rodent breeding. Methods -may include the use of silos, compost pits, neoprenecovers.-concrete bunkers (with screening), or other methods meeting the intent of the Ordinance. (5) Ponding or Lagooning: Ponding or lagooning may be utilized in such manner as to prevent the creation of nuisance and odors. In all such ponds or lagoons, there shall be sufficient capacity.to result in complete reduction of solids. All effluent must be contained within the property by an approved method. Should effluents be introduced into other receiving waters, all such waters must meet standards of the Water Quality Control Board. When ponding or lagooning is used for manure -disposal, the following information shall be provided,. if requested. by the District Health Officer: a. Location of pond in relation to domestic water supply b. Size and depth of (s) C. Type of pond, i.e., anaerobic, aerobic, etc. d. Depth from ground level to water table e. Method and location of manure injection in to pond f. Method and schedule f algae control q. Provisions for alternate method of control during shut -down for renovation of ponds, i.e., regrading, cleanout, enlarging, etc. h. Treatment of ponds o preclude mosquito breeding. L. General weed'and berm maintenance.
