A copy of the inspection report is enclosed for your records. <br />Although no violation of water quality regulations was observed during the <br />inspection, storm water runoff from the manure drying area poses a threat to <br />water quality. Use of the ponds for manure storage and off-site hauling of <br />the manure has the potential to be an improvement in waste management. Prior <br />to use, it must be demonstrated that the ponds are in compliance with the <br />applicable regulations. It is my understanding that Mr. Don Chesney of <br />Quality Control Inspections, Modesto, is working on soil tests. <br />Please keep me informed of progress on the changes.
