Adrienne Ellsaesser, REHS <br /> Phone: (209)468-3420 Rodney Estrada,REHS <br /> Fax: (209)464-0138 Willy Ng,REHS <br /> Routine Inspection <br /> Carter Road Egg Ranch <br /> December 12, 2016 <br /> Continuation Form: <br /> A routine inspection was conducted on this date and the following was noted: <br /> • At the time of this inspection there were approximately 220k birds on site. <br /> • Mortality is checked and incinerated daily. <br /> • Facility has one lagoon on the south side containing process water generated from washing <br /> eggs. <br /> • Facility has now contracted with New Tech Pest Control for vector control on site. New <br /> Tech maintains bait stations and inspects the site every 2 weeks. <br /> • Bait stations were observed placed along the outside of the bird houses. <br /> • Fly population on site was very light. <br /> • Manure is placed to dry on the southeast side of the facility prior to being hauled off by Bruce <br /> Mellor. <br /> • Odors on site were light. <br /> • House 3 is no longer a pit house. <br /> • House 1,2, and 3 have 2 levels. These houses are cleaned every day. The remaining houses <br /> are single level houses and are cleaned every other day. <br /> • All houses utilize a manure belt system. <br /> • Houses 8 and 9 are being used as storage buildings. <br /> • Houses 2,4, and 6 did contain any chickens during this inspection. <br /> • Updated manure management plan was submitted during this inspection. Facility is currently <br /> going through application process for expansion. <br />
