ANJOAQUINenvironmental Health Department
__...__C 0 U N T Y_Y
Complaint Record Daily Time and Activity Summary from 9/26/2016 to
10/4/2016 for C00042295 located at
30636E CARTER RD
Activity Date Recorded by
09/30/2016 On site for complaint investigation. The adult flies were light to moderate. The PE 4400 MCCLELLON
90 min facility did have control measures (fly traps and spraying). I did not find any fly SC 004
breeding during the site visit. The odors from the chicken houses were typical of
those from a egg laying operation (feed, bedding and bird odors). There was
evidence of dust from the house. The trees located near the exhaust fans did have
dust on the leaves. The dust at the time of inspection was barely visible. The
manure drying area had odors consistent with manure dry. There was a strong
odor of manure (mostly ammonia). They were taking drier manure and placing it
on the recently deposited manure (more moist). Unable to verify.
10/02/2016 1 spoke to the complainant. I informed here of the findings. I asked here to film or PE 4400 MCCLELLON
18 min take pictures of the dust events and to start a log. The dust from the chicken SC 004
houses is to be regulated by APCD or so I was told by the facility operator. I
informed her of that.
