This program uses graphics and <br /> hypertext to provide information about surface water resources. Topics <br /> include a general overview of the importance of surface water, <br /> information about the quantity of this resource, detailed information <br /> about the surface water resource for Indiana, and a discussion of how <br /> surface water can become contaminated. Numerous photographs and <br /> graphics illustrate an extensive discussion and description of <br /> agricultural best management practices to protect surface water <br /> resources. <br /> An agricultural software program currently offered includes: <br /> Soil and Geologic Site Evaluation. This software uses hypertext and <br /> graphics to provide information about the roles that soils, geology, and <br /> depth to groundwater play in the protection of groundwater. A risk <br /> assessment portion helps the user determine the potential for <br /> groundwater contamination at a site based on the soil properties, the <br /> geology, and the depth to groundwater.
