Sargent Rd.
Lodi, CA 95242
RE: proposed addition to kennel
Dear Mrs. Kahler,
This letter will indicate approval of the proposed "Phase 1 kennel bldg". Please be
advised that your existing 2000 gallon septic tanks are adequate to serve 53 cages, each.
Your plans show the existing kennel with 16 and your proposed Phase 1 building with 18,
for a total of 34 on the existing 2000 gallon tank. This leaves the capacity for 19 more
cages on this tank. Per your use permit application with the County Planning Department,
you are proposing 28 for Phase 2. This amount of cages will not be permitted to connect
to the existing system since it would exceed the 53 cage limit. More than 53 cages would
require your septic system to be modified.
If you have questions, you may contact Paul Rabaca at (209) 468-3854.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Ow Uau.
Paul Rabaca
Environmental Health Specialist
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
