A full depth core will be randomly selected from <br /> each pile numbered 1-6. Each core will be deposited onto a plastic sheet, <br /> composited and coned and quartered for a suitable representative sample <br /> for analyses. Pile number 7 will be divided into four quadrants. Full <br /> core samples will be taken from the middle of each quadrant, deposited <br /> onto a plastic sheet, composited and coned and quartered for a <br /> representative sample. <br /> PCBs <br /> One sample will be composited from all of the above six composited <br /> samples. This sample will be analyzed for PCBs. <br /> Pathogens <br /> Six samples will also be collected for the EPA 503 Pathogens. <br /> These will be grab samples collected from random locations <br /> among the same sample bed and stockpile sets as were sampled for <br /> metals and nutrients. A sterile, stainless steel scoop will be used <br /> to collect mid-depth samples from the centers of the beds. It will be <br /> used to dig into the stockpiles for grab samples from these locations. <br />
