(Twining) conducted farm sludge sampling at K &L Farms south <br /> of the City of Tracy, California from May 8, 1995 through May 9, 1995. Fields 7A and 7B were <br /> sampled. <br /> The dimensions of each field were measured, and each field was divided into four sections. A <br /> total of 40 samples were collected from both fields (Drawings 1). <br /> Samples were obtained by hand augering to a depth of 36 inches below site grade (BSG). Soil <br /> collected from 0 to 18 inches BSG was placed in one bucket, and soil collected from 18 to 36 <br /> inches was placed into a second bucket. Upon completion of each field, soil collected from 0 to <br /> 18 inches was composited into one sample, and soil collected from 18 to 36 inches was <br /> composited into a second sample. Samples were collected in sealable plastic bags and labeled <br /> according to year, field number, and interval (i.e. 1995-7A-0-18"). A total of four sludge <br /> samples were delivered to the City of Tracy Wastewater Treatment Plant for shipment to the <br /> laboratory. <br /> Twining conducted this project according to the soil monitoring plan provided by the City of <br /> Tracy. Our professional services were performed in accordance with generally—accepted <br /> engineering principles and practices in central and northern California.
