SITY OF TFtAC#
July 12, 1993
Mr. Mike Mossbacher
California Regional Water
Quality Control Board
Central Valley Region
3443 Routier Road
Suite A
Sacramento, Ca. 95827
o` i) Pi'i2:0
SUBJECT: SEMIANNUAL SURFACE AND GROUNDWATER MONITORING
REPORTS
Dear Mr. Mossbacher:
I am enclosing our semiannual monitoring reports required by our sludge waste
discharge permit.
As you know, we monitor the K&L farm return irrigation water that enters their
recycling ponds. During the January 25, 1993 sampling event, there was no return water
to the ponds. Therefore, the water discharging from their recycle ponds to the San
Joaquin River Club was monitored.
All of the surface water monitoring data meets the agricultural water quality goals that
have been set. Groundwater total dissolved solids data exceeded the goals, as they have
in the past. TDS levels are naturally high in the groundwater, as shown by the
monitoring performed on the domestic well DW 1.
Please let me know if you have any questions regarding the enclosed reports.
Sincerely,
Darrell D. Scott
Water Quality Laboratory Supervisor
cc: Kul Sharma, Acting Public Works Director
Ed Padilla, San Joaquin County Public Health Services
Telephone 209/836-1650 3900 Holly Drive Tracy, California 95376
