&TY OF TRAC*
January 13, 1993
Mr. Joseph Henao
California Regional Water
Quality Control Board
Central Valley Region
3443 Routier Road
Suite A
Sacramento, Ca. 95827
SUBJECT: SEMIANNUAL SURFACE AND GROUNDWATER MONITORING
REPORTS
Dear Mr. Henao:
I am enclosing here January semiannual monitoring reports required of our sludge waste
discharge permit.
Surface water monitoring data is submitted for the return irrigation water that enters the
K&L Farm recycling ponds. Data listed for the first three sampling events was also
submitted along with the last semiannual report. Data collected on Oct. 30, 1992 and
Nov. 2, 1992 was collected between periods of rainfall. As you can see, all of the
agricultural water quality goals were met. Fecal streptococci levels were higher than
previously experienced on Nov. 2.
Groundwater monitoring data consists of sampling done Nov. 18, 1992, as required. As
you can see, none of the agricultural water quality goals were exceeded except for TDS.
As explained in our consultants' initial site characterization and as the data from the
domestic well DWI shows, TDS levels are naturally high in this groundwater.
Sincerely,
Darrell D.
