Fields 1, 2, and
4 (87 acres total) have been set aside for this purpose. A m-=p of th:e
disposal area is attached.
An amended copy of Pre Appl_cation Report page 2 is also attached for your
review. Please note Table V, "Nitrogen Loading From All Sources (available -
N 2001) , " where the projected nitrogen contribution from the Eckert's
discharge is shown in the column labeled "Eckert 's -N lbs/acre. "
projections are based on a worst case scenar_o of 50 mg/L -otal nitrogen at
275, 000 gallons per day (half of Eckert's permitted flow) for 60 days. Field
3 will be added if mcre area is needed to maintain agro-:omic ra-es. ^e
application area may also De reduced if nitrogen loadings are less than
expected. In addition, BOD loadings will not exceed 100 lbs/acre/day.
Finally, please note the column labeled "App?_ied -N over/under req'd. " This
column shows the am,oun- cf nitrogen applied relative -o the nitro-.en
requirement of the crop. Ni-rogen applications on all fields are below the
agronomic rakes of the crops grown. The average application rate for all
fields is 107/ '-pounds under the agronomic rate.
Our lease operator has -ndicated that, depending on weather condi--ions and
cutting cycles, he s•;iL' either harrow or disc the fields follof_nc biosolids
application.
Please call if you have any questions.
