1.3 DEFINITIONS <br /> A. Manufacturer: Responsible for the production of geotextile rolls. <br /> B. EARTHWORK CONTRACTOR: The parry responsible for field handling,storing, <br /> deploying, repairing, anchoring, and any other aspects of installing the geotextile. <br /> C. QA/QC CONSULTANT: The parry, independent from the manufacturer or <br /> GEOSYNTHETIC CONTRACTOR, responsible for observing and documenting <br /> activities related to the quality assurance of the production and installation of the <br /> geosynthetic components of the geotextile. Also responsible for issuing a <br /> construction monitoring report,and certification sealed by a Registered Professional <br /> Engineer. <br /> 1.4 SUBMITTALS <br /> A. The GEOSYNTHETICS CONTRACTOR shall submit description of geotextile <br /> fabric proposed for use that meet or exceed requirements of this section. Include <br /> certified minimum property values and test methods used to obtain property values. <br /> Also include production capacity available and projected delivery dates. <br /> B. The GEOSYNTHETICS CONTRACTOR shall submit, prior to delivery, <br /> manufacturer's certificates of compliance with specified product requirements. This <br /> submittal includes Manufacturer's Quality Control (MQC) testing certificates <br /> notarized by responsible party. Include lot, batch, and roll numbers, sampling <br /> procedures,test procedures, and test results. <br /> C. Warranty: Submit to OWNER prior to installation, manufacturers, and <br /> GEOSYNTHETICS CONTRACTOR's written warranty against product and <br /> installation defects. Limits of liability must be acceptable to the OWNER. <br /> D. Geotextile: The GEOSYNTHETICS CONTRACTOR shall submit to the OWNER a <br /> continuous length of each geotextile measuring 50 feet by the roll width taken from a <br /> certified and approved geotextile roll delivered to the Project site. The geotextile <br /> submitted shall be labeled with the product identification, lot number, and roll <br /> number. <br /> 1.5 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING <br /> A. Protect geotextile from ultraviolet light exposure,precipitation,inundation,mud,dirt, <br /> dust, puncture, cutting, and other damaging or deleterious condition. <br /> B. Ship geotextile in closed trailer. <br /> C. Immediately restore damaged protective covering. <br /> D. The GEOSYNTHETICS CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for damage to the <br /> Geotextile during delivery, even if the rolls are unloaded by the EARTHWORK <br /> CONTRACTOR.
