Jack Tone Rd.
Stockton, CA 95215
Subject: 601 North Jack Tone Road, Stockton, California (10504015)
The Environmental Health Department (EHD) received complaints that Morada Produce Co. was
disposing of cannery waste (onions) at the above referenced location and causing a fly nuisance.
The EHD made a site visit on August 11, 2011. The northwest side of the above referenced
location had an area that contained decaying onions. There was fly breeding occurring during
the inspection in this area and causing a nuisance.
On August 12, 2011, Morada Produce Company was instructed to disk the area and use chemical
sprays to reduce the fly population. A site visit was conducted on August 15, 2011. The area
r
was disked, the fly population was significantly reduced, and no fly breeding was observed.
However, upon further observation of the disked area, layers of decayed onions could be seen,
indicating that the area was used for disposal.
Therefore, an Administrative Office Hearing has been scheduled on Thursday, September 22,
2011, at 10:00 a.m. at 600 East Main Street, Stockton, California. An Administrative Office
Hearing fee of $250.00 will be collected at the time of the hearing. Failure to respond to this
notice may result in further legal action.
d
YOU ARE REQUIRED TO BRING THIS NOTICE WITH YOU
If you have any questions, please contact Ben Escotto, REHS at (209) 468-3178.
Robert McClellon, Program Coordinator, REHS
Environmental Health Department
cc: David Irey, Deputy District Attorney, San Joaquin County
