0 0
the area in question. I told Rafael that the area in question needed to be disked and fly
sprayed immediately and that I would come back the following Monday (August 15) and
do a status check. Rafael said he would have it done.
A status check was done on August 15, 2011. The field was in the process of being
disked. No fly breeding was observed and the fly population was significantly reduced
(see pictures). I spoke to Rafael and thanked him for taking care of the area. I told him
that I would speak to my supervisor, Robert McClellon, about the situation and I would
contact him if anything else came up. Later in the day I spoke to Robert and showed him
the pictures taken that day. Robert observed that the field had layers of decayed onions,
indicating that the area was used for disposal. Due to the fact that Morada Produce was
disposing of onions in this area and were not permitted(same situation happened in the
past), Robert and I agreed that an office hearing was necessary.
