WASTEWATER RECLAMATION REQUIREMENTS 5 <br /> MUSCO OLIVE PRODUCTS, INC. AND <br /> THE STUDLEY COMPANY <br /> WASTEWATER DISCHARGE TO LAND <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> A. PROHIBITIONS <br /> 1. Discharge of process water to surface water, or any surface water drainage courses, <br /> or ground water, is prohibited. Uncontaminated ground water may be evaporated or <br /> reclaimed for agricultural use. <br /> 2. The discharge of"hazardous waste" at this facility, is prohibited. <br /> 3. The discharge of'designated waste' at this facility is prohibited. For the purposes of <br /> this Order, the terms 'hazardous waste' and 'designated waste' are as defined in <br /> Chapter 15. <br /> 4. The discharge of waste to ponded water from any source is prohibited. <br /> 5. The discharge of waste within 100 feet of surface waters is prohibited. <br /> 6. The discharge of treated or untreated domestic sewage is prohibited. <br /> B . DISCHARGE SPECIFICATIONS <br /> 1. The use of production wastewater shall not cause a pollution or nuisance as defined by <br /> the California Water Code, Section 13050. <br /> 2. The use of production wastewater shall not cause degradation of any water supply. <br /> 3. The use of production wastewater shall be confined at all times to property owned or <br /> controlled by the Discharger, as shown in Attachment B. <br /> 4. Water used for irrigation shall be managed to minimize erosion and runoff. <br /> 5. Water shall not stand continuously on any bordercheck or irrigation area for more than <br /> 12 hours after wastewater application has ceased. <br /> 6. The production wastewater used for irrigation shall have an annual average and daily <br /> maximum loading rate as shown below: <br /> Annual Average Daily Maximum <br /> Constituent Loading Rate Loading Rate <br /> BOD 100 lbs/acre/day .3176 mg/L <br /> TDS (DIS)I 1264 mg/L 1340 mg/L <br /> IDIS=Dissolved Inorganic Solids [TDS-DVS(Dissolved Volatile Solids)=DIS] <br /> 7. Row or field crops shall be maintained on the wastewater irrigated land whenever <br /> wastewater is being applied. The wastewater application rate shall not exceed the <br /> infiltration or evapotranspiration rates described in Findings 17 and 19. <br /> 8. Annually,prior to the anticipated rainy season but no later than 1 November, any <br /> necessary erosion control measures shall be implemented. <br />
