Provide a copy of the consolidated manifest receipts and a corrective action statement <br /> to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 301 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: Metal fines were observed on the ground around the brake lathe. Metal fines were also <br /> accumulated on the brake lathe and the brake lathe bench.An open hazardous waste container storing the metal <br /> fines was observed beneath the brake lathe, indicating the facility manages the metal fines as hazardous waste. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: A hazardous waste generator must maintain and operate its facility to minimize the <br /> possibility of a fire, explosion, or any unplanned sudden or non-sudden release of hazardous waste or hazardous <br /> waste constituents to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately clean up the metal fines from the ground and the brake lathe. Manage the <br /> waste according to Title 22 California Code of Regulations for hazardous waste.
