Box 549
Woodbridge, California 95258
RE: ADDENDUM TO WORKPLAN
MONITORING WELL INSTALLATION AND
QUARTERLY GROUNDWATER MONITORING AND ANALYSIS
LODI VINTNERS, INC.
WOODBRIDGE, CALIFORNIA
Dear Mr. Rippey,
This addendum to the workplan prepared for the monitoring well installation and
groundwater monitoring at Lodi Vintners Inc. (Kleinfelder document
67451.WP1/ST06R295 dated March 31, 2006) is in response to the comments from
the State of California Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) and their
requirement to address those issues prior to the installation of the groundwater
monitoring wells. The italicized comments below were made by the RWQCB and were
included in the "Conditional Approval, Workplan, Groundwater Monitoring, Lodi Vintners
Inc., Woodbridge, San Joaquin County", dated April 20, 2006, and are followed by
Kleinfelder's proposed responses.
ITEM 1
"Because floating non-aqueous phase liquids are not suspected of occurring at wineries
there is no need to carefully screen the water table surface. You may want to consider
setting the screen slightly deeper into the saturated zone to minimize the possibility of
wells going dry in the late summer or fall season."
Response
During drilling for the installation of the monitoring wells, each of the soil borings will be
advanced an additional five feet, approximately fifteen feet into groundwater rather than
the originally proposed ten feet.
67451.WP1/ST06L147 Page 1 of
©2006 Kleinfelder, Inc.
